Things Learned from Esther

There is a writer on twitter who is writing a book based on the book of Esther. After I saw a post on Esther in my Facebook feed this morning, I began to research verses and this one stuck out:

Esther 4:14
“For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (ESV)

Man that is powerful! How many times have you been in a position of authority and witnessed an injustice. Have you kept quiet saying you will just “go with the flow” and not “rock the boat.” At what point do you realize that maybe you are in that position for a reason.

I know that I have had many crappy times in my life but after I get mad and shed some tears – I reflect. I ask myself “what am I supposed to learn from this?” As frustrating as it my be, I believe every moment is a teachable moment. I also believe that we are put in certain positions for a reason. Have you had an Esther moment?
